SENA settlement paves for plant-level seminar

Cebu City—A recent Single Entry Approach (SENA)  Program settlement facilitated by Conciliator-Mediator Paciano L. Murro Jr. paves the Regional Branch to promote its program to the company involved on the request, announced Director Edmundo T. Mirasol.

According to Mirasol, the orientation was conducted last January 22 and 26 for Granite Industrial Corp. Minglanilla and Liloan branches.

At Minglanilla Branch, twenty seven employees attended the half-day activity while thirty employees attended the orientation at Liloan Branch.

“The existence of a grievance procedure is a reality that conflict is inevitable and an effective grievance procedure is beneficial to both employer and employee”, says Conmed Murro.

LMC convergence seminar slated

Cebu City—The Regional Branch in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) VII, Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) VII and the Employees Compensation Commission (ECC) VII has lined up   Labor Management Cooperation (LMC) Convergence seminars in three different areas of northern Cebu, announced Director Edmundo T. Mirasol recently.

The seminar entitled “Sustaining Harmony in the WorkplaceThrough LMC Convergence of Programs   aims to raise consciousness on the one plant-level convergence program  of the DOLE.

On March 1, the seminar will be  conducted at Camotes Island  while on March 7 and 8, it will be held at Bantayan Island and Bogo City, Cebu respectively.

RFAs generated P29.03 million benefit to 1,305 workers

Good news

Cebu City—The Requests for Assisance (RFAs) of the Regional Branch generated a  P29.03 million benefit  to 1,305 workers in 2018 , announced Director Edmundo T. Mirasol.

According to Mirasol, the monetary benefit comprises the 670 requests for assistance settled last year with an average of 14 days duration to settle.

“There is a 64 percent increase on the monetary benefit and 51 percent increase on the workers benefited as compared to 2017.” Director Mirasol said.

In 2017, the board recorded a total of P17.66 million in monetary benefit for 861 workers.

Staff Capability kicks off with Performance Evaluation

Cebu City—The Staff Capability Development Seminar of the Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch VII kicks off last January 25 with a topic on Performance Evaluation.

The seminar aims to capacitate and hone the delivery skills of all personnel at the same an opportunity to get feedback from superiors and fellow employees on tips how to improve the presentation skills.

Director Edmundo T. Mirasol kicked-off the year-long activity with his discussion on Performance Evaluation.

According to Director Mirasol, performance evaluation is a systematic, periodic and impartial assessment of an employee’s performance alongside standards previously and mutually agreed upon by the supervisor and the employee.
