Cebu City—Fifteen companies attended the Orientation Seminar on NCMB Pro-Active Programs and DOLE Convergence of Programs cum Gender & Development last August 17, 2016 at the NCMB Conference Room.
The one-day activity aims to raise awareness on the proactive programs of the board as well as the DOLE Convergence of Programs.
According to OIC Gemma R. Poloyapoy, the orientation was a kick-off to the series of seminars/ orientation which the board has lined up to companies who became responding parties of the request for assistance.
“The SENA is one of our entry points to promote our programs.”, she said.
“We need to harmonize and communicate with each other through a proactive mechanism which is preventive, the LMC” Admin Assistant III Reynalou Marie A. Usi stressing on the program.
While there are issues and concerns that cannot be prevented, Supervising LEO Rene A. Sabornido discussed the Grievance Machinery & Voluntary Arbitration.
She said that one important element of the grievance process is active listening.
Meanwhile, DOLE7’s Ms. Elisa Mojana emphasized that the Family Welfare Program is compulsory for companies who have at least 200 workers but for those employing less than 200 workers is optional.
Other topics during the orientation seminar were: Productivity and Gender & Development.
